Cops personally sued for brutal hogtie attack

Officers: |
Paul McDaniel - Attacker
|
Departments: |
Eastern Plains police
|
Counties: |
Logan County |
|
|
Victim: |
Chris Weitzel |
Outcome: |
The attacker, Paul McDaniel, was fired. This state does not have qualified immunity, and the victim is now personally suing the 3 cops (and others) who attacked him. |
Eastern Plains and Logan County cops brutally attacked and hogtie a civilian who simply said "no, I'm good" when the cops demanded he stepped outside his doorway.
Eastern Plains cop, Paul McDaniel, violently attacks a civilian who refused the cop's demand to step outside his apartment to the front step. The cop got pissed off the civilian knew his rights and refused this dumb directive. Paul McDaniel then escalates the situation by violently attacking the civilian, and then getting help from 2 additional cops (Matt Williams & Alton McGuffin) who held the civilian down as Paul hogtied him. After the attack, the cops placed the civilian face down inside the back of a patrol car. Disgusting disgrace of cops that are on our streets, and this is exactly what we need to stop. Luckily, in this state, a civilian can directly sue the cops for excessive force, which is exactly what is happening now 😍.
